“got checked?” The Wellness Brand

A Global Vision Towards A Health Conscious Lifestyle…

Alongside the Charity, endless reaching out, and fundraising towards a cure and our ” got checked? ” campaign, we felt it was necessary to create a multifaceted supporting brand.
Starting in 2015 we proceeded to release a few hip- hop singles with valuable videos, a book called “Decode Your Future ” and a mini couture sportswear line. We have developed the music component further by recently introducing a mini record label.

The “got checked records” label is a hybrid between a music label and a militant social movement promoting justice and wellness through music.
We aim to give hopeless youth a chance to thrive in the studio instead of failing on the streets while creating content with a lifesaving message!

Our book ” decode your future ” it’s a one of a kind read meant for young girls ages 12 to 18. We gathered 10 contributors from around the globe, to offer a simple list of bullet points regarding different subjects, from medical, nutritional and fitness tips of prevention to spiritual and entrepreneurial ones, all to achieve a successful life! We are currently planning a collection of follow- up literature under the concept that ” got checked? ” starts in our young minds through education; only then we can hope for action, prevention or early detection.
Our mini sportswear line is geared to offer an additional product linked to wellness and with a strong message of prevention through movement and fitness.
We are currently in the process of establishing our new “got checked? ” Lacrosse team, so there’s definitely a link between all of our brand visibility efforts.
We are planning to expand into the nutrition component of a healthy lifestyle and anything else that will allow our campaign to reach further …
The vision is wide open, feeling good needs to be a conscious choice for all of us.
“got checked? ” IT STARTS LIKE THAT!!!

Our Story

How It Began… Turning Struggle Into Strength!

First Company Pink is a not for profit organization on the frontline of PREVENTION . While raising funds for life saving BREAST CANCER RESEARCH, we also promote and support education and public awareness projects. We are vigilant in our effort to eradicate breast cancer in this lifetime.

Founded in April 2010 by Donna Cioffi, following her personal battle with breast cancer, she felt a personal responsibility to reach women of all ages and encourage them to answer this critical question “got checked?” yes or no!

With these two powerful words “got checked?” the campaign was born…

In 2015, Linda Bonanno, a fellow survivor joined forces with Cioffi as Co-Founder, Partner & Creative Director, and proceeded to translate the campaign into the “got checked?” brand.

A NEW FACE OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS started taking shape, a message delivered through music, videos, youth’s literature, fitness gear & fun.

mammograms help detect breast cancer earlier, they save a lot of people tons of aggravation and pain and possibly their lives. Since we clearly see so many cases that do not fall under any risk criteria, MAMMOGRAMS SHOULD READILY BE AVAILABLE TO ALL AT A YOUNGER AGE. As we always profess, no soldiers are left behind. While we empower and educate our millennials, what do we offer to our “Generation Y?” Probably the most vulnerable one, mostly uninformed and unengaged.

Shannon’s Law…

Shannon’s Law… Fighting For Young Lives, Mammograms Starting At Age 35!

”Generation Y” women are overwhelmed, busy raising a family and in desperate need for answers. We would like to give them those answers and peace of mind; we would love to tell them that there are new options, that our health system “has their back” and “their children’s back.”

The law is named in memory of Shannon Saturno, who was only 31 when she passed away in July of 2016. She’s left a legacy of soldiers ready to protect our next generation of “procreators”. This was a woman that, diagnosed at 28 while pregnant, suffered the unbearable, and fought until the very end like a true champ. We are determined to carry on her legacy, towards a better future for all our women in America.
